Writer's Block

I have a serious case of it, and it's horrible. I've been sitting at this computer for 30 minutes, with my fingers on the keyboard trying to think of something to write about. Why is it that I come up with all of my ideas when I don't have access to a computer? It's ridiculous!

Yesterday was my little brother, Ben's annual spring program for his school. I'll say, it was very good. I really enjoyed it, all the kids did a really good job! It's always a lot of fun to see him perform, he gets so much joy out of it and he's always so proud of himself. It really is a blast, for him and for me.

Since I don't know what else to include in this post, I must say goodbye(:

Cuff 'Em And Stuff 'Em

So, today I recieved a phone call from my friend, Darcy. Nothing out of the ordinary there, she just wanted to know if I wanted to go for a walk. This is very common because we live very close to each other, so walking around downtown is one of our favorite things to do. After almost two hours, she needed to go home. As I was walking back to my house, I decided I'd better cross the road. So I'm standing on the side of the road, watching the cars pass, and waiting for the opportunity to run across.

A car flies around the corner, and the first thing I notice is it's swerving all over the road, and it's coming right at me. The first thing I think to do is run backward, into some guys yard. It didn't hit me (thank goodness), but a part flew off of it that almost hit me, and if I wouldn't have run into the yard, it would have hit me. As the car was speeding away, I noticed it was missing one of it's back tires. I thought it was very strange, and I was almost in tears because of what a close call it was.

Eventually, I get the nerve to cross the street again and continue walking. Up ahead of me, I see a police car parked and a police man was speaking to a woman who was standing outside of her minivan, and a part of the car was next to her too. I didn't exactly hear what she said, but she was basically just telling the policeman about this car. She had a few police cars around her, so I think it might have hit her, and I think she said it did but I don't really remember her words.

Once I get home, I tell my mom the whole story and she dialed for the police, talked to some lady for a miute, then handed me the phone. Turns out, they already arrested this person. Pretty crazy, huh? I don't know exactly what happened, but I thought that was pretty insane!

Random Thoughts(:

So I've been trying to think of a creative name for my blog, and it's very hard. I want something creative, but personal. I've got some ideas, but I'm still thinking about it. It's a big decision, you know. I'd kind of prefer not to have my name as the title, that's so boring!

Here at school they've just been swamping us with projects. It's crazy! My problem is I tend to procrastinate, but here lately I've been doing way better. It seems like the eighth grade teachers are really trying to get the point across that we're going to be in high school soon. Oh, high school. Scary. Very, very scary to me. At the same time, though, it's so exciting. There's plenty of reasons to be excited for high school, but I'm still afraid. I guess I just have a highschoolophobia. Yeah, that's right. I used a big smart person word.

My friend Claire no longer goes to my school. It really just isn't the same. She brought something to my group of friends, and you couldn't help but be happy around her. I wish her the best, though!

I just love having fast internet here! It's just like heaven at my fingertips. You see, at my house we have dial-up. It works, and gets the job done, but it takes a whole lot longer to do so. It's what I like to call no-speed internet, as opposed to high speed. I'm not complaining, I'm very grateful to even have internet in the first place. By far this is the best though, once you get past the blocks on Facebook and Myspace. It's so nice to be able to be able to blog from school. So much fun! I have to log off now, though. Have a good day!

Psh, Twitter.

Can somebody please tell me what's so wonderful about Twitter? Please? It makes absolutely no sense. Go online, type in what you're doing? I seriously don't get it. People were telling me how "terrific and wonderful" it is, so I go and make an account. Twitter is not terrific nor wonderful.

Have a good Monday!

A Worm For Books...

So if you know me well, you know that I read a lot. A lot. In the summer especially. I know, I'm a total and complete dork, but I can't help it. Here lately I haven't had much time at all for reading. Between school, and school, and school, and homework, and school, my days have been slam packed. I know, it's crazy, I've been too busy with school to read! How nuts is that? I started a really, really, really good book a few months ago called "Ida B". It is the saddest book I have ever read, hands down. What's really funny though, is that it's a book meant for 5th grade kids. I'm in 8th grade. Don't let that fool you though, it really is a good book, one of my new favorites. I finished it today (finally). Whelp, there's my thoughts for the day!

Summer

I'm so excited for summer. I haven't been able to get it off my mind, I am just so excited. School's okay, but summer's way better. I can't wait for the warm weather, and the long sunny days at the lake, the Fourth of July, hanging out at the beach, walking downtown with my friends, venturing throught the woods all day, hanging out with my cousins, and all the other fun things that come with that special time of year. I can't wait to sleep in every day and stay up as late as I want, and most of all: No Homework. So exciting!!
